1. Clean out holes...If
necessary use solvent and a small gun brush.
2. Set empty cases together
to determine where studs go. Long studs are #s 2, 4, 6 per factory
shop manual.
3. The long thread goes
in the engine case.
4. Using two wrenches,
lock two 3/8-24 nuts on the end of the stud. (Do not use nuts
that came with stud kit.) Install studs in case and torque 8
ft. lbs. max.
5. Upon assembly, using
locktite, an 11mm or 7/16 12-point socket, torque nuts to 28-30
ft. lbs. max. Consult factory manual for tightening sequence.
Use all oem washers under nuts. Copper washers go on the four
studs not covered by the oil pan.
